Communication #1 : Introduce yourself to the team
From the TM (assuming a TM has been appointed to your team)
********************************************************************************************
Hi all,
I am <insert name> and i will be the Team Manager of the <insert team> this year. I am looking forward to the job and hope the <boys/girls> are ready to go.
<Inset Coaches Name> will be the coach this year, and i am sure <he/she> will be in touch shortly.
There is a just a little house keeping that needs to be done before we can get going.
These are the Current Training Details;
DAYS : <insert>
TIME : <insert>
LOCATION ; <insert>
WHAT TO WEAR : Shin pads must be worn throughout the session
WHAT TO BRING : Both boots and runners
I and <insert coaches name> will be communicating regularly throughout the season and please feel free to contact us if you have any issues. I will soon be directing you towards the club policy on playing time etc, which we obviously will be following, but in a nutshell the philosophy of the club is to ensure all players feel that they are positively contributing to the team and the club, and feel very positive about their experience of the club and the sport. Having said that players and parents have to do their fair share of the work. Players must get to training (on time or early – not late!), always show a positive hard working attitude and always are respectful to team-mates, the parent group, the opponents and the referees.
Thanks for taking the time to read this email. I will no doubt be sending another soon. Please take the time to read and act on it if necessary.
Here’s to a great season
Regards
