Communication # 3 : Direct the Parents towards club philosophy and polices
(TM can send this)

Hi all,
Please find the links to the clubs philosophy and polices. These policies cover things like.
- Why we grade teams
- How game time is distributed
- How bench time is distributed
- The policy on playing positions
- What we expect from players and therefore what players can expect from us.
Please note that when it comes to playing games, the teams priority is not going to be on the result of the game.
It is very easy to manipulate a result. [Simply play the best players in their best positions (big guys at the back who hit it long, fast guys up front who can chase down everything over the top) whilst penalizing the ‘weaker’ players (restrict game time etc)]. This low a risk pragmatic style of play that decreases the chance of conceding goals and gets the ball as close to the opposition goals as quickly and as often as possible, but on the flip side, doesn’t offer all players an equal opportunity to develop. So please don’t confuse results with good coaching. They are not mutually exclusive but they are also most definitely not the same thing.
So please note: It is much harder for a coach to manage a squad in which all players feel valued and add value, than it is to win a game at all costs. I am sure that you will therefore give the coach 100% of your support in this process.
The clubs aim is to develop all players at the club. We want to educate players about the game and allow them to play without fear. We want players to be as technical and as clever as possible, whilst also understand that when the train and play they always give 100%. If players do this, win or loose, then the experience, regardless of the result, will have been a positive one.
Regards
