(This should come form the Coach)

Hi all,

With out first match approaching i thought it would be timely to establish guidelines in regards to parent behaviour. I know we always be perfect and that this is totally unnecessary but nonetheless it wont do any harm.

These are links to videos which highlight all too common parental behavior, before, during and after the match.

As a club we want to be known for our friendly supportive attitude, so that referees and opponents always leave a game against us without any negative feelings or experiences.

I have it on good authority that Ange Postecoglou when he watching his boy play won’t say a word. It was like this when his son was 6 and now when his son is in his late teens. The point being, if Ange, who knows more about the game than any one else in Australia, didn’t feel the need to share his knowledge to his son, his sons team-mates, his sons coach then why would anyone else feel that there thoughts need to be shared before, during or after a game, especially if these thoughts may be perceived negatively by others.

We should aim to be supportive and positive at all times and ensure our parent group is an example to every other team both inside and outside the club.

Regards
